City of Tracy Opens Renovated Eleventh Street Bridge

Project to be completed by March 2018

Posted: Nov 17, 2017
Location: Tracy, Calif.

On Saturday, November 11, 2017 a major milestone was achieved on the Eleventh Street Bridge Replacement Project when traffic was diverted from the temporary detour bridge to the newly constructed bridge deck.

All four lanes of traffic, with two lanes on each side of the median, were successfully opened to the public on Saturday afternoon. The diversion of traffic to the new bridge deck will now prompt the dismantling and removal of the detour bridge, which may take four months to complete with coordination of the Union Pacific Rail Road (UPRR).

Construction activities on the bridge will continue in the monument areas, sidewalks, guardrails, and street paving. The project is expected to be completed by the end of March 2018, weather permitting.
