Press Release

Posted: Aug 27, 2020

The City of Tracy is pleased to announce a new pilot program, TRACER PLUS, offering weekend on-demand bus service on the TRACER Public Transit System. The program began on August 23, 2020, giving residents even more transportation options to get around the city.

TRACER PLUS is a shared ride curb-to-curb service open to general public, designed to give all riders the ability to take public transportation to get to any destination within Tracy. Riders can book a trip by calling (209) 831-4BUS (4287) or by downloading the TransLoc app in the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.

Initial service periods for TRACER PLUS are Sundays from 8:00a.m. - 10:00p.m., Saturdays from 5:00a.m. - 9:00a.m., and 6:00p.m. - 12:00a.m. For a $2 fare, two people regardless of age can ride TRACER PLUS.  Same day service is available, and trips can be scheduled up to 48 hours in advance. This service is currently designed to operate only when TRACER Fixed Route bus services are not available.

All TRACER buses are ADA accessible for the convenience of riders.

TRACER is operated and administered by the City of Tracy. Please direct all questions, comments, and concerns about this program to the City of Tracy Transit Division.

For more information on bus service and fare, please visit RideTracer.com or call (209) 831-4BUS for travel plan assistance.
