Bureau of Investigations

The Bureau of Investigations (BOI) is comprised of a variety of specialized units with unique responsibilities, dedicated to serving the needs of the community. Units assigned to the BOI are:

• General Investigations Unit
• Special Investigations Unit
• Crime Scene Investigations
• Evidence and Property
• Crime Analyst

All of these units are focused in supporting community oriented policing and problem solving initiatives undertaken by the police department. Each unit is tasked with meeting their specific goals and duties with the highest level of professionalism and ethical commitment to the community members of Tracy.  BOI is led by a Lieutenant and a Captain
