National Drug Take Back Day

Join us on Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., as the Tracy Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) come together for DEA's National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, happening nationwide. At this event, we will be collecting tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs that are no longer needed, whether they're old, unwanted, or expired.

Please Remember:

  • Controlled, non-controlled, and over-the-counter substances will be accepted, however, illegal narcotics are not part of this initiative and will not be accepted.
  • Medication can be disposed of in its original container or directly into the disposal box. If using the original container, it's encouraged to remove any identifying information from the label.
  • Liquid medications should remain sealed in their original container with the cap tightly sealed to prevent leaks.
  • Participants must handle their medication during the surrender process and deposit it into the collection container themselves; law enforcement personnel will not handle medications at any point.
  • Please note that collection sites will not accept syringes, sharps, or illicit drugs.
