Membership Qualifications and Residency Requirements
The Tracy Finance Committee is comprised of two seated Tracy City Council Members.
Term
Committee members shall serve a one year term.

Compensation
The Tracy Finance Committee Member position is a volunteer, non-paid position.
Duties
- Review, discuss, and provide direction to facilitate in the preparing and presenting of accurate, timely, and meaningful financial statements to the Council from City staff
- Monitor the finances of the City
- Develop an annual work plan and presentation to the City Council
- Review and update from time to time, as necessary the financial policies
- Be familiar with, approve, and review periodically the organization's annual budget; Ensuring that the financial elements of the City are in accord with the City Council’s Strategic Priorities
- Set long-range financial goals along with financial strategies to achieve them
- Develop policies and plans for financial awareness in cooperation with other public and private agencies
- Provide recommendations to the City Council on such matters that may be referred to the City Council by the community
Meeting Date and Location
The Tracy Finance Committee shall meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall in Council Chambers.
Additional meetings may be scheduled by the Committee at its discretion.
