Night work scheduled for roadway pavement work. Lowell Avenue from Orchard Parkway to Tracy Blvd. & Lincoln Blvd. from w. 11th street to Lowell Avenue. Scheduled to begin Sunday night, June 9, 2024

Residents & Motorist should anticipate noise disruptions, loud construction equipment, delays, and plan travel routes accordingly.

Tracy, Calif. – City of Tracy has awarded the contract for the Pavement Rehabilitation Project FY 20-21 to Knife River Construction (Contractor).  The construction project will include pavement rehabilitation work, dig out repairs, hot mix asphalt, signing, striping, pavement markings, green bike lanes, markers, curb ramp construction, sidewalks, valley gutters, signal loop replacement, pedestrian push buttons and tree removal.  This work will require day and night work.

Beginning Sunday, June 9, 2024 between the hours of 8:00pm and 5:00am, work will commence on Lincoln Blvd from W. 11th Street to Lowell Avenue & Lowell Avenue from Orchard Parkway to Tracy Blvd.  Work is scheduled to be completed by the week of July 1, 2024, weather allowing.  For the benefit of the residents of Tracy, schools in summer session, less traffic delays and inconvenience to the anyone driving through the area and the vicinity, the contractor has been directed to work during night hours to help minimize traffic.  Detours will be in place, including signage, and portable message boards to assist traffic.

The Engineering Division, encourages residential and commuting traffic traveling the area to anticipate loud noise, disruptions, and delays.  Plan accordingly and give yourself extra time when traveling the area to avoid the delays that could be a direct impact as a direct result of the construction.  City of Tracy Engineering Division is excited to share this project with the residents of Tracy and look forward to the completion of another successful project that will benefit its residents.

We encourage everyone to plan for their trips and use alternate routes if at all possible and remember to be safe during the construction.  Remember to “Slow for the Cone Zone” as traffic fines are doubled in Construction Zones.
