Tracy, CA — Beginning the week of October 14 and lasting for approximately six weeks, Clifton Weed Abatement, a contractor for the city, will begin vital maintenance work on ten identified hot spots, listed below, where overgrown vegetation has impacted our flood and storm conveyance systems. This project is essential for maintaining the safety and efficiency of our local waterways.
The cleanup process will involve the removal of excessive plant growth, which can obstruct water flow and lead to potential flooding. As part of this effort, residents may notice removed vegetation and materials temporarily placed on embankments and low-lying areas. This step is necessary to allow the materials to dry out before being transported offsite due to their weight.
