The City of Tracy has a franchise agreement with Tracy Delta Solid Waste Management, Inc. (Tracy Disposal) for the collection, transportation, and disposal of refuse, including the collection of recyclable material and organics waste, within the City of Tracy.

Garbage and organics waste containers are collected weekly. Recycling is collected every other week. To find which week you need to place your recycle container at the curb, click on the 2024 Recycle Container Pick-Up Schedule under Documents on this page. 

On your collection day, place the appropriate waste containers in the street by 4:00 am, at least 12 inches from the curb to allow water to flow.  Tracy Disposal usually collects the garbage, organics, and recycling in the morning. All waste containers need to be removed from the street within 24 hours after pickup and placed either behind your fence or on the side of the garage (TMC 5.20.100).

Holiday Schedule

Garbage, organics waste, and recycling that is scheduled for pick-up on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day will not be picked up. Instead, service will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week.
