Tracy offers year round drop off locations to ensure proper disposal of your old and unwanted prescriptions, over the counter medications, and Sharps*.

We ask participants to do the following:

• Remove pills from containers and packaging
• Consolidate loose pills in a plastic bag
• Remove personal information from any packaging
• Medical Sharps* are accepted only in sealed bio-hazard or other sturdy sealed containers
• Liquid medications are not accepted at any of the locations
  

Old and unwanted prescriptions and over the counter medications (Sharps* not accepted) can be taken to:

If you have old and unwanted prescription medications including  Sharps* or controlled substances (no liquids), you can take them to the appropriate kiosk located at:

Tracy Police Department
1000 Civic Center Drive

If you have just Sharps*, the following location, in addition to the Tracy Police Department, will accept them:

*Please make sure that all Sharps are in an approved sharps container for everyone's safety.
