City of Tracy, CA
Home MenuStreet Sweeping
The City of Tracy maintains a street sweeping program to comply with provisions of the federally mandated Clean Water Act. Street sweeping helps to remove pollutants which can drain into the City's storm drain system and eventually into the Delta. Keeping our streets clean also provides for a safer and cleaner City.
Street sweeping occurs on the day after your non-recycle week pick up.
Sweeping around obstacles requires more time and reduces the effectiveness of the street sweeping program. To improve effectiveness, the City asks that you park your cars off the street on your scheduled sweeping day. Basketball hoops should also be moved off the street. The street sweeper does not pick up leaves. You must put them in your organics bin for disposal. The City does provide a leaf pick up program. More information can be found here.
