A septic tank discharge permit is mandatory for any non-recreational vehicle discharging septic waste to Tracy’s Waste Water Treatment Facility (WWTP).

Only septic waste (cesspool, portable toilet, septic tank, etc.) is allowed to be discharged. No grease interceptor waste, hazardous contaminants (explosive, infectious, toxic, flammable, corrosive), or industrial waste.

Hours of operation are Mondays – Fridays between the hours of 5:00am and 5:00pm.

A complete and valid permit application must be on file and all charges and fees must be up to date.

The tank truck must be in compliance with all California Health and Safety Codes and Regulations of the San Joaquin Local Health District. Septic tank discharge reports (provided by the City of Tracy) must be filled out in full and deposited with the City of Tracy Utilities staff prior to discharging at the WWTF.

All waste discharged to the WWTP must originate within the Tracy service area, which includes the following zip codes: 95304, 95376, 95377, 95378, and 95391.

Tracy’s service area is bordered on the west by Alameda County, the south and east by Stanislaus County, the east by the San Joaquin River, and the north by Grant Line Canal.
