Land Development
The Land Development Division of Engineering provides review and permit processing services to the development community and to the public so that the community can enjoy quality developments that are constructed expeditiously and responsibly.
Staff in the Land Development Division is responsible for the review of subdivision maps, construction plans, public improvement and grading plans for all residential, commercial and industrial projects. In addition, they ensure project compliance with design regulations, facilities master plans, finance plans, technical analyses, and environmental statutes and mitigation measures. This Division oversees the review and approval of encroachment, grading and transportation permits, final map, parcel map, lot line adjustment, and vacation of right-of-way and/or easement(s).
The Land Development Division works closely with developers, engineers and the public to ensure compliance with the City of Tracy’s design standards and guidelines, location of public utilities and property lines, existing easements or right-of-ways, permit processing requirements, and pertinent policies and State and Local regulations.
