On March 30, 2020, the City Council delegated certain development and construction related approval authority to the City Manager via Urgency Ordinance No. 1285. The purpose of the action was to ensure that essential projects and activities move forward while the City addresses COVID-19 impacts and challenges.
Under this Urgency Ordinance, the City Manager has the discretion to approve certain contracts with a not-to-exceed amount of $100,000, off-site agreements, inspection and improvement agreements, award certain Public Works projects with a not-to-exceed amount of $1,000,000, and accept certain public improvements. All contracts will be awarded in accordance with the Tracy Municipal Code procurement requirements and federal and state public contracting and bidding requirements.
